For as long as people have been growing food, natural and organic methods were the norm. However, the pressure of meeting the feeding and industrial demand of the global population over the last 70 years has contributed to the employment of practices that are unsustainable for the health of consumers and the environment. The good news, though, is that there has been a rise in organic value, particularly in recent years.
Today, more than 82% of American households for example purchase organic products. It continues to grow, although the same cannot be said for Africa, and Nigeria in particular, where we have a comparative advantage to grow organic.
Attuh Farms Nigeria Limited is an agribusiness poised to encourage health & wellness using sustainable farming practices. We are out to promote, trade and cultivate safe and nutritious food;thus providing a positive, yet cost-effective and profitable impact in our service delivery. We will build efficient multichannel routes to local, regional and international markets leveraging strategic and innovative collaborations right across the agribusiness value chain.
We started as a commercial fish farm, located at Utagbo-Uno, Delta state. Almost three decades of playing in the upstream subsector, we are currently focused on crop production with a keen eye for health and wellness as well as ensuring traceability in the entire value chain ‘Farm to Fork’ with a strong emphasis on sustainable, integrated organic farming practices that respect the environment and the consumer.
Farming we believe should be done using methods and practices that are repeatable for the long-term, that minimise the reliance on outside resources and do not adversely affect our surroundings and anyone whom we work with, serve and farm for. The way at which food is grown, processed, handled, transported and stored are important to prevent food-borne disease that hampers the health and wholeness of the populace.
We intend to keep you abreast of related efforts and activities on this platform. So I will encourage you to keep coming back for more invaluable insights because this relates to our wellbeing. After all, we are mission-driven to provide premium farm products and services. Agribusiness is what we do!
